What is it used for?
In order to create a personalised programme, your physiological and cognitive abilities have to be measured for weaknesses. This assessment not only helps with immediate changes that need to be made but also with providing a series of tools and exercises to help with continuing the enhancement of your state of mind at home. Increasing your cognitive abilities can help reduce the possibility of developing neurodegenerative mental illnesses such as Alzheimer’s.
Who are suitable candidates?
• Those with mild cognitive impairment, or minor memory loss
• Those who want to train their concentration, and control anxiety
• Those who do sport at any level, including elite athletes, who want to work on their weaknesses
How does Neurofeedback work?
Neurofeedback is a way to train the brain to reach its optimal potential, by measuring the electromagnetic activity of the brain. During training, you hear sounds and see visual effects which change when the behaviour of the brain changes. This information reinforces and educates the mind on how to achieve desired states, and over time the brain learns to adjust itself to its optimal level.
This method of training the brain takes out the drugs which act only on the chemical mechanisms of the brain and focuses on the electromagnetic behaviour of the brain which is linked to many important psychological functions.
